From Sam’s research, we have learnt that a podcast’s social media can contain the following things: It may contain pictures and sales of merchandise Images of the hosts in it Clearly states who the hosts are Giveaways for the fans Teasers for upcoming podcasts Images of the guests featured in the podcast A representation of what the podcast is about (refers to the true crime genre) It features links to other things they do asides from the podcast itself Shows images of events that the hosts have participated in Fun facts and images that the fans will enjoy Thx to Narent & Sammy for pics and info

Podcast progression

Image
The start of making the podcast was kind of on the slow side of things, but despite all of that we managed to finish all of it. My role isn't the best role I was mostly in charge of all the logos in the podcast though the logos were great they aren't coming out as fast, Sam was in charge of the social media account and Narent was the only person keeping the entire group from collapsing under pressure. For the first few weeks me and Narent were the ones working on the podcast, while working we made a script for the first podcast consisting of an intro, host intro, topic intro, sponsor, there was also the first ever audio recorded for the podcast in the radio room, but that shortly closed and the rest of the audio had to be recorded online on discord. Sammy was no were to be found in this week as he had a basketball match to attend to. Most of the recording was done on discord including the interview between Raphael and Dyfan, though the intro with Raphael had to be censored

Editing process

Image
During the making of all the podcasts the "Cap-cut" app was used Narent was already quite familiar with the app during the early stages of his editing process because he's used it frequently in the past for personal projects like the jump cut video and camera angle videos. However, during the first few weeks of the editing, progress was a little slow because not much of the audio had been completed; the only thing he had done was combine the raw audio with the logo image while we were busy planning everything. In the last several weeks, he had completed the editing for both episodes in roughly a day each. A YouTube to mp3 converter he discovered online was used to convert some of the effects he used from YouTube to mp3, while other effects he used were available in the CapCut app And in the second podcast, he utilized a good deal of beeping noises when Raphael was speaking because he used a lot of profanity. He did this because he thought our podcast deserves to be listen

Podcast tutorial

Podcast tutorial with mr. Wayan Mr. Wayan took us on a tour of the entire podcast room during this session and explained the equipment utilized to produce podcasts. If any of us wanted to purchase any of this equipment, Mr. Wayan also gave us some recommendations. The podcasting space and its amenities were ultimately only used once.

Podcast Survey

Image
Podcast survey As seen from the analysis done by Narent's survey we have determined the most people would like us to interview random students, this is probably because most people can just relate more to random students in oppose to popular ones and finally most people really want us to talk about school experiences like more than 50% which is understandable because I would also like to hear about other's school experiences.  Also a massive majority here would like to have multiple speakers in one podcast with a unscripted style of talking, it's probably because they like the sounds of a natural conversation or they just want utter chaos in the podcast. Another thing I would like to add is the fact that a lot of people requested a loud podcast with background music, they probably don't want to get bored while listening to it so I can understand more of the choices here.

Podcast research logoes

LOGO & THUMBNAIL RESEARCH (Narent) The topics for our podcast are humor and true crime, we would need to find a logo with something that fits in both categories, since humor will be the leading factor, we would have a humorous logo with a hint of true crime. From the research Narent has done, logos that are humorous look mostly like this: The logos main trend for this type of genre look comic like and bright colors. Having drawings of funny looking characters with a comic book like background, even having the word “comedy” in it, cartoon versions of their faces looking confused, this is a trend in the genre, where the podcast’s a type of question answering podcast, and smiling hosts. The second genre which is true crime have logos that look like this: For this type of genre, the main trend for their logos are simpler and monotoned. They’re a lot less busy, the fonts look clean and simple, not a lot going on, more aesthetic. Reference images (Abizer) Most of these logos are red whic
